This collection, Loom Loop tried to integrate the core feminine look combined with the tailoring structure. It features strongly on prints inspired by the story. The colour palette is a juxtaposition of this legend story with burgundy and dark forest colour. The butterfly motif provides a focus on prints; Loom Loop favours both the all in one look in the same print and the mixing of the prints.
Continue readingThis cashmere coat is part of a knitwear collection designed for the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising Debut Fashion Show. This garment is a one of a kind design, a fully fashioned knit piece, made on a single bed hand knitting machine with some crochet detail around the waist and the sleeves. The fabric was hand painted with acid dye to give it a more precise gradient effect. The eccentric yet elegant design, forms shapes like origami around the body. The sculptural look was achieved to give a different look from every angle.
Continue readingThe bioLogic team explored how bacterial properties can be applied to fabric and formed into living interfaces between body and environment. They found novel means of using Natto bacteria, which move in response to changes in humidity. The team harvested Natto cells and applied them to fabric with custom 3D printers.The cell-infused fabric was used to make sport garments. As the fabric reacts to perspiration, tiny vents over the body's heat zones open and close, allowing for instant cooling. In fall 2015, the suits featured in a live ballet performance.

Continue readingDanko is a colorful sweater with humanistic conception, that has a symbolic aspect so that wearing it in public people could communicating a romantic idea. Let people's flaming hearts be visible! The Sweater knit pattern imitates thermography map of human body with its centre at heart area. The coldest zones are depicted with blue color while the hottest place is red. The idea of the Sweater encourages for passionate living by outlining heart that is a symbol of affection and love. The Sweater is a realization of the belief that all people are heroes due to human nature.
