The pattern for the suit is simplistic to reflect the level of design and construction capability that would have been expected of a home sewist in that timeframe. What is truly innovative about this suit is that the main components are reversible. This interchangeability provides a series of outfits from just one setup. This transformation is a nod to the tailor mades of the era and eases the packing burden of 1900s era travel.
