Continue readingPeregrina is a 1900 era ladies stage costume, presented with accessories and an Edwardian slip. The garments are made from repurposed, upcycled, antique and period appropriate materials, including cotton, hemp, silk, linen, wool, straw, feather and metal hardware. The pattern is simple, reflecting the skills expected of a home sewist around 1900. The main components of the suit are reversible, so one set of pieces provides several outfits. Hidden or dual purpose hardware, including buttons and hooks and eyes, keeps the pieces aligned and supports the weight of the heavy fabrics.
Continue readingFloral Album is a fashion collection inspired by family photographs from the 1980s. The collection is made from deadstock fabrics combined with several handcraft techniques. Hand embroidery, crochet, beading, knitting and cross stitch are applied to velvet and to layered transparent textiles. Crocheted trims and knitted pieces include sequin elements that catch the light as the wearer moves. Each garment is constructed individually, so no piece is repeated. All pieces are free size. The collection links detailed handwork with the reuse of overlooked materials.
Continue readingLe Rouge et le Noir is a fashion collection inspired by the musical adapted from Stendhal's novel of the same name. The collection interprets the emotions of the protagonist Julien through a French rock aesthetic. Nineteenth century European court silhouettes are combined with punk details. The classic red and black color scheme echoes the themes of the novel. Each piece is handcrafted with genuine leather, rivets, safety pins and other custom made elements. The result presents a meeting of classic and contemporary design elements.
Continue readingShirt Style is a down jacket designed for daily wear in cold weather. The jacket uses an H shaped silhouette that suits a wide range of body shapes and allows versatile pairing. The outer fabric is made from imported 25D ultra fine yarn, which lowers the weight and improves durability. The filling is Hungarian goose down with 800 fluffiness and 1000 cleanliness, placed by a direct fill process that varies the amount of down according to the warmth needed in each section. Seamless glue pressing and leakproof sewing prevent down leakage.

The outer shell uses Dermizax stretch fabric with a high moisture permeability index and water, oil and dirt repellency. The lining combines a honeycomb reflective heat storage layer with graphene heat storage fabric, holding body heat at temperatures as low as minus 15 degrees Celsius. A waterproof adjustable hood, waterproof seal tape treatment and large capacity pockets add protection and practicality. A 3D draping cut supports a close fit and free movement.
